Moreover, on March the 8th 2004, Amnesty International launched a two-year campaign to stop violence against women. Amnesty International is calling on all governments as well as private actors, institutions and individuals to take immediate steps to put an end to violence against women and to redress the suffering it causes.

The culture and information services of the Brussels borough (commune) of Ixelles has financially and practically supported the organisation of the screening of the documentary Until the Violence Stops and the Jour V Europe benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues at Flagey.

Member of the European Parliament in the socialist group since 1989, Lissy Gröner has been a major political supporter of our activities. She has hosted an exclusive screening of the UTVS documentary at the European Parliament in February 2004 and will host the Jour V cheque giving presentation in October 2005. She was honoured as Vagina Warrior for her work against violence against women during the Jour V evening in April 2005 in Brussels.

Elle nous a invité au Parlement Européen pour oraniser une projection exclusive du documentaire UTVS et nous invitera à nouveau pour remettre les chèques de donations aux organisations bénéficiaires du Jour V en octobre 2005. Elle a été nommée Vagina Warrior ("guerrière du vagin") pour son travail contre la violence enver les femmes à l'occasion de la représentation exceptionnelle des Monologues du Vagin Jour V en Avril 2005 à Bruxelles.
