Ni Putes Ni Soumises
More than a year ago, after Sohanne's horrific death, a young girl burned alive in a suburb of Paris, women and men gathered and walked through 23 cities of France to denounce sexism aimed at girls living in the suburbs. The movement Ni Putes Ni Soumises was created right after the success of the demonstration.
Their aim is to work directly with the civil society, especially with people in the suburbs, to promote respect towards women and secularism, and to raise awareness on violence against women, discrimination, gender equality, education and sexuality.

Haus für Frauen und Kinder Eins (Frankfurt)
Haus für Frauen und Kinder Eins (Frankfurt) The women's movement has always assumed that women could live happily if they were independent and could take responsibility of their own lives. Independence is the best protection against violence. The work that is done at these women's shelters prove this point. During their time at the shelter, women can liberate themselves fin the hope of achieving personal dependency. Women's shelters are the most important form of help for abused women. Within the framework of society, they contribute towards raising awareness on issues such as women's emancipation in the areas of society that are not fully informed on this process.
